Amazon Prime Video error 4601

After Amazon Prime Video's launch in Canada last week, many Canadians have been running in to the infamous 'error 4601' when trying to watch Prime Video content on Amazon.com. As you likely expect, 'error 4601' is due to geographic licensing restrictions.

The preferred way to browse the Canadian content is on PrimeVideo.com or via the Amazon Prime Video app on Android or iOS. While Canadians can still browse the Prime Video content on Amazon.com, the majority of the time you will be hit with error 4601 when you try to watch something, even content that is also available on PrimeVideo.com.

Note that the Amazon Video Terms of Use state that:

You may not use any technology or technique to obscure or disguise your location.

As well, many have reported that popular VPNs do not work with the service anyway.
