'Twin Peaks' returns May 21 for a third season

The 1990 TV hit Twin Peaks is returning for a third season which takes place 25 years after the events of the original two seasons. Original creators David Lynch and Mark Frost return to write all the episodes in this 18 episode series.

Also returning are original cast members Kyle MacLachlan, Mädchen Amick, Sherilyn Fenn, Sheryl Lee, Ray Wise, and several others.

New cast members include  Monica Bellucci, Jeremy Davies, Trent Reznor, Laura Dern, Robert Forster, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ashley Judd, Tom Sizemore, Amanda Seyfried, Matthew Lillard, and Naomi Watts.

Where to watch

The series will premiere on cable channel Showtime on Sunday, May 21. In great news for cordcutters, the series will also be available on CraveTV the same day it airs on cable.
